Creating an Amazing Customer Experience
SMS is the best; educating Agents like myself!
My monthly rate for AARP Supplement goes up substantially beginning in July as did last year. I am still shocked when it goes up during the middle of the year. I still think it should only go in January after the option period. What do I know.
Aetna you are now too complicated. Make it easy and smooth to be a member. Life is complicated enough without problems trying to order the over the counter items. By the way $25 a month is not enough. Somethings you need cost more than that. It was better last year when I had $50 every 3 months.
Thank you Chalen & Rachel !!! 🎉
Great information Olivia!
Is it possible to ask where she sees the doctor- city/state? We have clients who live in one state and visit docs in another state
That's a great suggestion!
Excellent presentation!!
Great info!
This guy really knows what hes talking about!
What a bunch of BS. You and your custom embroidered shirt should take a long walk off a short pier.
Hey guys how can we pull up data if newly added providers?
So Cigna is not selling entire Medicare block to HCSC?
No Medicare is sold, but not ALL Cigna lines are being sold: The Cigna Group announced an agreement to divest our Medicare Advantage, Cigna Supplemental Benefits, Medicare Part D, and CareAllies businesses to Health Care Service Corporation ("HCSC").
I’m confused on how to get a disclaimer, PTC, and SOA from inbound Medicare “Help on Demand” call.
Hey Jessica! We would be happy to discuss this with you a bit more in depth - You can reach us at 800-689-2800
Thank you!
👍for a well-articulated video that doesn't have background music and where the host talks _slowly enough_ for me to follow everything. I'm in a time crunch, so I'd appreciate it if you could answer a question about the *Special Enrollment Period:* I've been retired from the Postal Service for several years, turned 65 in July, and am only now signing up for Medicare (my Initial Enrollment Period is almost over). Aside from being able to delay Part B without penalty as you described, will I also be able to sign up later for *Part D and a Medigap plan* without penalty? That would almost seem necessary since, as I understand it, you can't get either of those _until_ you have Part B. And for a couple of reasons I don't want Part B yet, if ever. That's my question. My hope is that I can just sign up for Medicare Part A for now and keep my FEHB Blue Cross retiree plan, but also avoid any late penalties. Then when the _PSHB_ system takes effect, I'll see if any of the new plans will take care of my needs without adding Parts B, D, and a Medigap plan. Thank you.
Great questions, Every situation is vastly different. We recommend contacting a licensed insurance agent who specializes in Medicare to help you navigate your journey! If you'd like, we can give you some recommendations on good partners in your area!
@@SeniorMktgSpecialist Thanks, but my question pertains to the rules of this new Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) program rather than to me specifically, so I don't see how every situation is different. I just need clarity about the new program that nobody has been able to provide. All anybody talks about regarding the "Special Enrollment Period" next year is Medicare Part B. Nobody I've found as yet even mentioned Part D or Medigap, and whether a Postal retiree can get the same late signup benefits with them. I can't be the only one wondering. 😞
Hey @MikeAnn193! I want to clarify a couple points. As a current retiree who is already 65, you will not be REQUIRED to pick up part B, however, you WILL start accruing late enrollment penalties unless you enroll now, during your IEP, or next year during the one-time SEP. After that, there will be no escaping the permanent late enrollment penalty. For Part D, you may or may not need or want this coverage as long as you current retiree plan is creditable. You only need to have part A OR part B to get a part D plan, and many FEHB plans(and now PSHB plans) are integrating part D benefits into their plan design. You will accrue a part D LEP unless you have creditable coverage. Each year, your annual notice of change should indicate if your current plan's drug coverage is creditable. For medicare supplements, or medigap, you would have a guaranteed issue right to certain letter plans if you chose to leave your federal retiree plan. Please note, you might not be able to get back into your retiree plan if you leave. Similarly, you would also have access to any Medicare Advantage plan on the market. If you have further questions, I really recommend speaking to a local, licensed insurance agent that can examine your current options with you and help you compare that to the Medicare plans available in your area. If you need assistance finding someone, we work with brokers across the country and would be glad to give you some options.
@@chalenjackson-bv8st Thanks for the information. I'm not sure my questions were clear to you, but it's academic now, since my initial enrollment period is over. "You only need to have part A OR part B to get a part D plan" OK, good to know. "You will accrue a part D LEP unless you have creditable coverage." *This* is one of the two main questions I had. I'm aware that there's a Part D late penalty for _most_ people, but thought there might be an exception for Postal workers, given that there's a Part B exception due to this big change. But NOWHERE in the Postal/OPM literature that I've seen is that information published. All the PSHB "fact sheets" ever talk about, regarding late penalties, is that they will be waived for _Part B_ during the Special Enrollment Period in 2024; there's no mention of Part D or Medigap, even though both of those also have downsides for late enrollment. So you're saying there will be *no such waiving for Part D.* 🤨 If that's true, one would think they'd _say so in advance,_ as they did regarding Part B. The other question was about Medigap, because my understanding is that I might have to go through _medical underwriting to be approved, and could be denied_ if I'm late signing up for that. So as it stands now, since I'm outside my IEP, all I can do is wait until the SEP and see where the chips fall. I'm irritated that this isn't made more well-known. Even the OPM representative I talked to said she had never heard anyone ask about Part D or Medigap in terms of the Special Enrollment Period. Amazing. _And even she didn't know the answer._ OPM is the agency that will manage the PSHB program! Nor did an otherwise well-informed and helpful agent who works for the Postal Service's retirement benefits information line. Nor did a national Medicare broker, or at least they didn't respond to the question. *So in response to your suggestion that I talk to a local agent, I highly doubt that **_they_** would know, either.* Evidently, if you are correct about Part D, there will be a lot of surprised people when they learn this next year. And I'm curious to know where _you_ got the information, or if perhaps your statement wasn't specific to Postal workers/retirees. Hopefully, I won't need _either_ of those parts of Medicare since, as you mentioned, the services they cover may be covered by the new PSHB plans. That may very well be the plan for both. Thanks anyway, for your response.
What happend to Lasso Heatlhcare?
Lasso discontinued their product starting 1/1/2024. Their product is still available, but only through the end of 2023.
Are they planning to offer an MSA product later?
I will have moved on to a Plan F Medigap by then. @@bernadettesandoval3990
@@bernadettesandoval3990 Lasso has not said if they plan on returning to the market.
Do captive agents need to use this disclaimer?
All third party marketing organizations are required to use this disclaimers, which includes captive agents.

Hi Chalen, Thanks for the great info! Can SOA's be collected now for AEP?
Yes! SOA are good for 12 months.
What are the numbers
First I want to say thank you for explaining the differences in great detail. I'm a new agent and just wanted to lookup additional info on marketing events and I can't find anything. Everything that comes up are about Sales or educational. Also I noticed that a lot I resources I've found use the verbiage sales events and marketing events as if its the same thing. Is there any other resource we can reference to confirm this?
Hello! A marketing events is a term we use to describe events that do NOT discuss Parts C or D at any length, so they do not have to comply with the CMS regulations. That is why you won't find any details about them in the CMS guidelines. Call us with any questions on how to keep your events "marketing", and not CMS Sales or Educational. 800-689-2800.
Beautiful
Thank you🌟 Do Supplement Plans require an SOA? I've heard yes and no🤔
Hello! Medicare Supplements do NOT require a SOA, BUT Part Ds do. Since most Med Sups are paired with a PDP, most Med Sup appointments will include a SOA.
@@SeniorMktgSpecialist Thank you🌟
Where can agents get information on systems available to do a Voice Scope?
Beautiful

Kiosk meaning a table set-up at a retail place. I thought that if this is face-to-face no SOA is needed.
A kiosk is traditionally referring to a registered tabled event through CMS, so you are correct in that reference. However, a Scope of Appointment is always required to discuss any type of Part C and/or Part D benefits with a prospect or client. If the appointment takes place face to face then the appointment doesn't need to be RECORDED, but still requires a SOA.

Good information, Thanks Chalen!
what if a prospect calls the agent and wants the agent come to their house the NEXT day ?
Great question, unless the prospect is in the last 4 days of their enrollment period, the 48 hours would not be waived in this scenario.

Should mention that you have to license both and be appointed with both in all states.
